I was coming back from getting stuff from Office Max, when I am slowing down at a light that turned red. I hear this car come up next to me - had a dual tip rice exhaust, and I am pretty sure intake at least. It was a 2-door 92-95 Civic EX. Anyways, two (ugly) chicks in the car. They rev about halfway, I do the same. Light turn greens, I have a fairly good launch... 1st gear, gained about half a car, 2nd gear gained another half a car, 3rd gear stayed, 4th gear just blew away... I had around 2-3 cars length, and was doing around 70-80 MPH. Drove first 3 gears to around 5,500 RPM... she was maxing her engine, I could hear it limiting. By then I was done, I had her beat and it was broad daylight, so I slowed down to 50 MPH (speed limit was 40). She screams by me, cuts me off, and slows down like there is no tomorrow. I had a grin on my face though.. my first street race with someone. Granted, I didn't race a sports car or anything, but it was good fun.
