Ok I have a small question to ask. I have a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse. It has a 2.0 DOHC 16 valve turbo charged engine. I have a friend with a Honda Civic( I happen to like also) and he has the B18A1 engine in it. His has around 140 HP, and I have around 185-190 HP. He thinks that he could outrun me and I do not think that he could. So what do you guys think? Plus my car is around the same weight as his.

No way that he'd be able to keep up with you, AT ALL. I can beat my friends GS (2.0 non turbo) with my LS motor, but no way in hell I could even think about keeping up with a GSX or a GST. That dude with the Civic's smoking crack.

Geez what doesn't he understand? I have a LS in my Civic and no way can I keep up with a turbo'd Eclipse. What else does he have under the hood that makes him so confident?

no contest, you WILL kill him, even if he is a great driver and you are horrible.

But if he has some more stuff under the hood it might be different.

Yeah like if his LS were turbo'd or NOS'ed. Be hard to keep up if it were n/a.

I kept up okay with a GST that was riced out from Trenz when I had my GSR and it was running like shit because I was more than a quart low, but that was a GSR. I think you'll smoke him.
