View Full Version : VR-4 v.s. Mustang GT

so I am out two weeks ago with the vr-4, and as I roll past an intersection there is one of those redish orange mustangs sitting there, it was a convertible, I saw it sitting there, and wondered if it was one of the new cobra's... anywho, I roll past looking at the driver, he looks at me, so I slow down, figure I will let him catch up to me. so just after I pass he rolls out and speeds up to get next to me, it's a guy in his 40's with 2 kids in the car, we are both rollin' about 50mph give each other a nod and he floors it, I wait for a little just to give him some hope, Then I go to town (note that I had previously cranked up the boost to 15psi) and floor it, as I am passing him he shifts, and chirps the tires, and I then proceed to put three to four car lengths on him before I had to stop to turn off into my neighboorhood. When I started to slow down I was somewhere around 110-115mph.

so all in all it was a good fun run. :p

Id like to see you race one and see how you do. If your stock, your not going to beat him. It would take quite a few mods to hold with them. They have 375hp and 415lb-ft of torque....

Yep,you better something above a stock turbo in a DSM to beat a stock Cobra.

it was GT not a cobra, I think I could have hung with cobra for a little, then my tinny turbo's run out o' breath.... o well it was fun!

BTW.... you need to be specfic about what year of cobra, the new ones with the super charger...very bad ass, old NA cobra's...weak...
