Why the F?!

K...so why does everyone assume that a little AZN civic with shiny rims and a body kit is fast? Gets irritating sometimes having everyone and their dog try to race me all the time....Although, my two best experiences are as follows:

#1: Nice day, cruising around with a Jamba Juice and the sunroof open only to be accosted by an annoying like 50 yr old dude in a Viper GTS...Yeah, like i can hang with this fuck (not so much). Buut just for shits i give him a little rev at the stoplight. he gets instantly serious, looking like he's getting ready to run the indy 500 or some shit, and drops the clutch from like red line....funny to see a dude tear off, burning up like 500 bucks worth of tire in the process, then noticing that i didn't move off the line...Guy could just give me the finger and drive away.

#2: Rainy as fuck, driving home from a crappy 13 hour work day, not wanting anything but to get home and drink myself to sleep. Punk ass kid in a brand new WS6 begins to follow me after i gave him the *jackoff motion* in response to him reving at me. I figured, what the hell, lets see how punk ass can handle his RWD in the rain...took him around a fairly substantial curve getting onto church ranch and got about a half mile down the road before i noticed he wasn't behind me anymore...Low and behold Mr. PunkAss spun 180 degrees, tagged the median, and rippied his back wheels off....his bad. I felt sorry for him and let him use my cell phone to call his mom and a tow truck....


Morals of the story: Not all Hondas are fast, but by god, some of their drivers are mean :mad:

I've never made that assumption. Ever. As a matter of fact, I assume everything to be SLOW until proven otherwise. Body kits, wings, rims fart can exhaust (or, big honkin rumbling exhaust in the case of the V8 guys) are all nice, but I want to see what's available under the drivers right foot - screw the looks/sounds/etc. :)

#1, if you revved your engine at anyone driver a sweet car like that, it would only make sence for them to burn ya

#2 racing in the rain is very unsafe and scary, I did it 2 times, both on this straight road, hard to fucking see

nah, i'm a Silver 97 Civic Ex with a fukt up tranny Obi....and as for reving at the viper...he actually started it with an aggressive downshift so there riceburner!

1.) Ok, you COSR folks might have me seen bitch constantly about trying to get a race with a Viper for like two years now, unsuccesfully. Always because of the other person's lameness (I've heard every excuse). Hearing your Civic story actually makes me mad. Hahahaa. And also, if you didn't want to race, why did YOU rev first? "Agressive Downshift?!" Are you sure he wasn't just downshifting to help engine-brake? Not sure what you're complaining about, but...

Looks like you found someone that I NEED to meet. Heheh.

2.) Maybe the kid deserved a lesson (on wet pavement), BUT honestly, racing in the rain is WAY dangerous (racing ANYTIME is dangerous). It's nice that you let him use your cell-phone.

He's a black GTS with a plate that read something along the lines of 'BADVIPR' or 'BADVIPE'....good luck! And yeah....rain races are baaad mmmm kay! It's not a regular habit, in fact, only had two races in the rain, one being the above one and the other being in the lucent technologies west parking lot (out of traffic, etc etc)....
