well we finially raced last night, it was a really close race, i banged my rev limiter violently off the launch...... thought my tires were a little warmer, and eric kinda screwed 2ng gear.. but of course he got the jump on me.. once i actually got traction and grabbed 3rd i started pulling HARD, then when i grabbed 4th a blew past him like a rocket... watching the tape was insane .. jeez my 4th gear is crazy... eric post the tape! but yea it was real close, i pulled past him just before we wouldve passed the quarter, i was going 92 when i grabbed 4th and shot ahead and my traps should be around 110 or so maybe even 115, so yea definitly a good race... now lets do it on the track!

good kill. 110+ mph traps are really fast, have you ever ran the car at the track before?
I cant wait to trap at over 100 mph.
the fastest I've gone at bandimere ever was 98.x mph

We also raced from a roll and I can keep right with him in 2nd and 3rd but as soon as I shift to 4th it's like I hit a wall (see video for example)

damn rev limiter and skinney tires.... but yea im getting my tires back on tuesday, the wheel spacer in my rear wheels is too big but on the c2 3 peice RH's it has to have the lip on there to hold the rim to the hub... so i have to order one and wait ...rrrrrrrrrrr.. but ive got the skinneys on again! whos down to tape me rip the rest of the tires off tonight?

Know how hard it is to get a desparately horny 40 yr old single mom to go home when she's blitzed???? Note to self: don't drink with old people anymore....they've got a mad tolerance, and lotza baggage to bitch about once they do get drunk.

When I first got my car I was afraid to burn the clutch all the way through first gear. But on street-tires, that's the only way to get a decent 60', without either bogging or spinning at the line. Haven't known anyone around here with a Philips 2-step. Wonder how much that would help our MK4 launches..? I know Nashour said (on ET-Streets), he just revs to 6k and dumps the clutch and gets sweet times. I wonder if BFG DR's or Nitto DR's are sticky enough for that though...?

well i got the sweet launch after 3 races, tires were sticky, keep in mind these are only the 245's on the rear... i didnt even spin tire it just chirped like 3 times then shot out like a rocket.. i coudlnt ebelive it, i dont think im ever gonna have that launch again lol! but yea i was revvin bout 4200 or so, then when the light hit i pretty much popped the clutch at about 3800 3/4 throttle or so, chirped 3 times, then smashed it, fuckin awesome! first time i actually didnt spin or bog and had a good run the whole way through. now only if i can do that at the track........ well see in wednesday (weather permitting)
