Since Banidmere was rained out today, we decided to go out to the go-kart track on I-70 and Colorado with Tim and my cousin Mike. Alex and I pretty much dominated, and were thinking about joining a league or something and representing HAI. Anyway here are the results of all four heats:

HEAT 1:

Stu: Fastest lap: 21.58 / Average lap: 22.15
Alex: Fastest Lap: 21.94 / Average lap: 22.79
Mike: Fastest lap: 22.54 / Average lap: 23.58
Tim: Fastest lap: 23.99 / Average lap: 24.99

HEAT 2:

Alex: Fastest lap: 21.34 / Average lap: 22.38
Stu: Fastest Lap: 21.38 / Average lap: 21.78
Mike: Fastest lap: 21.82 / Average lap: 22.71
Tim: Fastest lap: 22.84 / Average lap: 23.83

HEAT 3:

Stu: Fastest lap: 21.14 / Average lap: 22.03
Alex: Fastest Lap: 21.35/ Average lap: 22.40
Mike: Fastest lap: 21.92 / Average lap: 23.25
Tim: Fastest lap: 23.22 / Average lap: 24.81

HEAT 4:

Stu: Fastest lap: 21.05
Alex: Fastest Lap: 21.51
Mike: Fastest lap: 21.80
Tim: Fastest lap: 23.17

I bolded everyone's fastest lap times. I was soooo close to a 20.xx lap time. Anyone want to set-up a meet so we can get some other HAI people to come down?

Sounds like you guys had fun while I was at shitty work.

I would join but I think that my big 'ass: would slow the karts down. I will still go to see what kind of times i get. They have a lap timer there? How much is it? Maybe a mini meet this weekend or something.

On Monday nights it's only ten bucks a race. Each is like 23 laps long, less if your slow. I think every other night it is $15 a race. I think it's totally worth it. Other guys from the board have gone before like Tobi and stuff, maybe they will chime in. Anyway, about the lap timer, it seems like lately it's been broken a lot from people running into the control box. They have a display that the spectators can read, but that is still broken. However, everytime you are done with a race, you can go up to the front desk and get the print out that shows everybody's time for every lap (It's pretty cool becuase you can pick out the exact laps where you crashed and stuff). I always have a blast when I go, and it's even more fun when you have people like Alex and Tobi who have real track experience to waste your ass and give you modivation to get faster.

I have a bad ass all Kart shifter kart for sale, i"ll hook it up cheap for the club. its worth like 3k I just want 1k for it then you just need a 125 or 250 cc motor and you can rice it out with extremely large hai stickers.

I was getting REAL tired on that last one. Stu forgot to mention that our last heat was 15 minutes due to good behavior. So in total I paid a dollar a minute. My times are really improving but I gotta lose some weight!

Not to piss anyone off, but my 10-year old just finished a 10 week carting school there. His times in the junior carts was in the 22-second range.

Little bastard even beat my best time....:D

Seriously!

Yeah I'd go out there. My fastest lap is a 21.15 and I stay pretty consistent throughout a race in that lap range unless i get someone slow in front of me.

Tommy, your little guy probably only weights 70 lbs though, hehe. My fat ass weighs 180! Good times for him though :)

Yeah, if I shaved off a few pounds I'd be in the definite 20's.

If the next one is on a weekend, I'd be down. $10-$15 isn't bad at all.
