Got SMOKED by a 98 GSX

Dude....I have posted a couple wins of mine but I was honored to lose to this guy....I was at the westminster promanade in my friends jeep grand cheorkee laredo bumping his system when we see a 2002 grand am gt and a turboed eclipse gsx parked behind the vans skate park....the eclipse was looking FINE..... white with a neon blue underglow... it was pretty...and we pull up and my friends tell him to rev up his turbos...it sounded sweetttttttt! and then my dumbass friend said, "My friend has a prelude over there if you wanna race" the kid said o.k. how bout 200 bucks and my friend was like no way....and he goes just race for fun...so I go get my lude and I pull up and the kid in the eclipse was like how much do you wanna bet and I was like ummm.....NOTHING cause I am broke now...he he said, "driving a nice prelude with no money?" and I said, "it is all going to the turbo fund" so anyways we pull away from the promanade up main street a couple blocks to a buisness park and turn right and I we go over the railroad tracks and see I pretty short straight away and the guy in the eclipse said, "do you think you can beat me...seriously?" and I was like my friends put me up to it.."and he said alright no biggy and then he said "I will stop when I am 8 car lengths ahead" and so we line up and my friend gets out to flag.....well I didn't know he was flagging until my friend in the car said go...so I reved up quick and dropped it and got smoked absolutely smoked.....and I won't even blame it on the bad start.. the guy said he had fifteen grand under the hood...so if anyone is selling an eclipse let me know especially if you are interested in a lude...let me know!!!

I only know 2 people with even close to 8k or more under the hood, and one drives a red 2g and his name is Hal. :D The other has a fully built race motor in his 93 gsx, and this ricer was neither of them.

8k in all his F-n-F extras, maybe.

I think both Hal and Dave have over $10k under the hoods easy. They have some really sweet and pricey pieces on their cars plus a couple teardowns on the engines and that adds up. My performance parts,not counting a clutch every couple of seasons (I do have nearly 370 passes at Bandi) ,some fixits and a couple turbos later,I have over $4500 under the hood including a bigger turbo,FMIC,built tranny and some other nice parts.

DSMs are easy and cheap to make go fast but the faster they go the more $$$ they will suck from you and a long term DSM isn't cheap since they do benefit with a bit of anal retentive TLC. :mad:

Now that I only put about 500 miles a month on my GSX and it doesn't see snow and only minimal rain it's been a little easier on the bank account.

I've now owned my GSX for 7+ years and 85,000 miles I still like her.........

............most of the time.;)

Thats what I was thinking. every time you refer to turbo dsm yuo are saying "turbos." as in plural. I didnt know dsm's came with TT's.
