92 Prelude SI vs. 5.9 Dodge durango

Well...heres the story....I was getting off of I25 onto yale when a 5.9 durango with flowmaster flew up and cut me off...The light turned green and we were both turning left and he was in front of me so I saw a grandma in the right lane and the durange was ahead of me in the left turn lane so the light turned green and he jumped off the line and I was on his tail and I cut into the right turn lane so I would hit the nest red nest to him.....so he reved up his flowmaster and I reved up my lude and I dropped it at about 5,300 rpm's and he was right next to me till I hit second and I was gone but he was still pushin it...it was the best import vs. domestic suv race I have ever been in!

Durangos run just under mid 17s up here but I have seen a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 run a 16.6 at Bandi.

yeah...both slow and crappy cars with cheaper insurance! Well..at least the last part is true. Here I thought you'd be happy just to have ONE car that runs right now Titus..4dr or not! :p

dood...i raced an evo 7 the other day in my 92 lude... he said he had teh ractive intake!! he only pulled 3 cars on me by 40 mph!!!

On the note of imports vs. suv's, yesterday on my way back from Aurora with my wife and kids, we were getting on 225. There was a red "STX" ford F-150 with a loud exhaust and the Corvette flags on its fender(jackass). I had no intention of racing because I had the family with me and I just put a stg.III clutch and lightened flywheel on and haven't even put 300miles on yet. But because my clutch is so light now I have to rev up pretty good to prevent the car from shaking and dieing. This guy took it the wrong way and punched it on the on ramp! Well I couldn't just let that happen with no answer, so once I got in 2nd I got on his ass, he couldn't pull on me for shit, I know he had it punched, I played with him in 3rd and was gonna just fly by him, but my wife made me let off! Its frustrating when you know that you can embarass someone with his friends but have to restrain, but I think he knew he bit off more than he could chew.
BTW, I have a vr6 vw corrado with cams,chip,exhaust,k&n, matrix stageIII clutch and 10lb flywheel. I know that its no 13second car,but it can hold its own!
